| Greek Festival in Brookville, Long Island at Church of the Holy Resurrection GOC - June 9th 2007 - One of Long Island's best and greatest Greek Festivals! There was fantastic Greek food, Greek music, various vendors, a children's play section, and more across the sprawling church grounds! Thank you to our wonderful hosts! The Greek Warriors had a great time entertaining the guests at the festival. We did a story and re-enactment of the battle of Thermoplylae with battle moves that the 300 Spartans and other Greek warriors would have used. It was a living history lesson for the guests at the festival. We moved about the festival grounds and had a great time talking about Greek history and our Greek armor. Take a look at some of the pictures from this great Greek festival weekend! |

| This is my friend Athanasios from Australia. He leads group of Greek Hoplites called THE ANCIENT HOPLITIKON of MELBOURNE. You can tell who Athanasios is in these pictures by his Gorgon shield. They are an impressive group in their displays of armor. They have the look and feel of a real Greek Phalanx. THE ANCIENT HOPLITIKON of MELBOURNE participated in the Olympic torch lighting ceremony that was held in Sydney in 2004, and they have put on various other displays for people to enjoy. Our thanks to you Athanasios, and rest of the Hoplites. You are our companions in arms!
